What the spacers are used for

Glazing spacers sit between the edge of the glass and the window frame or rebate, so the pane ends up correctly wedged and held in the frame. They are used when fitting glazing into wooden, PVC and aluminium windows, and for small packing and spacing jobs where a flat, stackable shim of a known thickness is needed. Because each thickness has its own colour, a mixed set lets you build up the exact gap you need by combining several spacers.

Choosing your spacers

  • Pick the thickness first (1-6 mm) – that is the gap each single spacer fills.
  • Pick the pack size next (10-200 PCS) – smaller packs for a single window, larger packs for full frames or repeat jobs.
  • Different thicknesses can be stacked to reach gaps that are not a whole number of millimetres.
